Thread: MW2: PS3 Patch 1.08 Updates (European)

Modern Warfare 2 PS3 users have today received an update to fix some of the current known glitches and bugs. Xbox users will have the same patched released shortly.

Robert Bowling's Twitter:

We've updated the European PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2, including the following fixes:

- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
- Fix for "infinite care package" exploit.
- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and 'elevators'.
- Fixes to prevent various XP hacks.

US PS3 Players:
This patch should go live for US PS3 players at some point tonight according to Sony NA.

Worldwide Xbox 360 Players:
This patch is currently in certification at Microsoft. No ETA on it's arrival yet.

i cant even download it! it will get to about 7% and then it will freeze and tell me i have an error!!

ok so I had the exact problem, I deleted ps2 system data from my Game Data utility and then it worked, You may not have that in there but if not just clear something out of there and youll probs be good.
